Key-Account/Project Manager E-commerce - m/f

a new role for a major BtB supplier of a wide variety of products, which sells its products via resellers/distributors. This, because of internet which has transformed these distributors increasingly to online companies. This transformation has a big impact on our organization.

The vacancy

To accelerate the growth we are looking for a key account/project manager to service our biggest online clients, and search for new business opportunities in other markets or marketplaces like Amazon.

As a product company we are – of course – mainly challenged on our product portfolio: do we have the right product for the right price? Our online clients have less a product focus, but challenge us on efficient (order) processes. They expect us to adapt our services to their online dynamics: data driven, quick leadtimes, innovative API order tools and a customer first attitude.

Within our organization the e-commerce department is responsible to translate these client requirements into new and improved commercial and digital  services. We have a dedicated team (4 fte) to service 80 online key-clients, with a focus on data delivery, merchandising and analytics.


Candidate profile

The ideal candidate has at least 2-6 years of working experience – in a commercial role. You like client facing roles, and can handle corporate and international accounts. Digital or online experience is appreciated but not a prerequisite. However we do expect you to be passionate about digital developments.
The ideal candidate wants to combine a client facing role with also change management responsibilities. All client learnings and requirements need to be translated to new services and processes that are often ‘owned’ by departments outside the ecommerce department. In order to be successful you need to be able to influence and  convince internal stakeholders why the required new services has commercial value. You need to show your people and presentation skills.
The key account manager reports directly to the e-commerce director.
Needless to say: working for an international company requires traveling and fluent English writing and speaking skills. In order to be successful, the e-commerce account manager should have good Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.

We supply a wide range of lifestyle and gift products to almost 15,000 distributors. Our products are delivered decorated with the customers logo and can be shipped directly to the end users.
We carrie over 12,000 different products that can be marketed under proprietary or licensed trademarks. Our success stems from an integrated global product development division, in-house sourcing, a high-quality buying operation in the Far East, as well as a sophisticated printing and logistics centre in Europe.
